The Broody Duck Thread for 2014
Well, mama number two hatched out 5 of her seven eggs. One died shortly after hatching (took it over two days to hatch) so i think there was something wrong with it. So we have four more little fluff balls.. Three black and white and a lavender. Mama number 3 should hatch out hers late this week.- kountryboy4life

Well, we ended up with nine little ones .. one bad egg and one i was not sure of so i put it under another duck that is due to hatch in a few days.... Colorful little bunch !- kountryboy4life

Well, we have a nest full of babies ! I cant see how many have hatched so far, due to mama being very protective. ( I have the bite marks on my hands to prove it lol) I will post some pics when she comes out of her nest box with her new family !- kountryboy4life

Well, I can see babies ! not sure how many have hatched so far.. There will be 11 when they are all out. Mama is VERY protective so i can see them all lol.. My black female finally went broody.( again) She was one of the first to start laying this spring. I let her accumulate ten eggs and she started to sit. Well, two of my eight Muscovy girls are sitting.. the rest are just hell bent on overwhelming me with eggs lol.... The first girl should hatch hers out around the tenth of June ! I candles her nest when she was out eating.. 12 out of 13 are good .- kountryboy4life
