    it's been found that the chances of getting darker eggs is in line/in breeding .... right the opposite (lighter eggs) when crossing different lines of Marans . But there are exceptions to this , but note the word exception .

    Beautiful birds ...... but what are they ? Rooster ? Hens ? (i see no feathers on their legs and what color are the hens?/i know what color/pattern i think they are and i like that) i'm color blind but all color blind can actually see some colors and not others .

    he's built pretty good overall... leg feather ok ...... for sure not black copper(i came back to edit this (i could be wrong about him not being BC / i am color blind)and he may be the mahogany ) . What color is he blue , red or brown(or mixture of the 3 ?) . Some one ill let you know the rest...

    Welcome , glad to see one concerned about the birds . If it was my valued birds i would say it's a good time to bring them in . A lot of people raise them in a shelter or building and make adjustments accordingly .
