I expect to be there with juvenile French Black Copper Marans, some 7 month old Barred Rock roos, and hopefully lots of various chicks. Testing fertility now, so keep your fingers crossed. We've also got hand made laying boxes, growout/carry cages, jams and more.
I'll be in Knoxville next week, Jan 8 thru 12 and would love to meet some BYCers from the area. I'm specifically looking for Welsummers and Barred Rocks, but want to meet any chicken people I can. Email me directly if we can arrange a meetup.
thanks!

I plan to be there with BLRW juveniles, FBCM juveniles, laying boxes, brooders, jams, pickles, apple butter, soaps, assorted purebred roosters 6 months or younger, horse tack, and anything else I can think to bring.
Received a box today from sahwithchicks just LOADED with perfectly packed eggs. FBCM and Barred Rocks, beautiful, beautiful eggs. They're resting now, I'll put them in later tonight.
And to top it off, 3 of 4 RP turkey eggs from krazykat hatched today, the cutest little buggers you ever saw...
I need some serious help with hatching. I have a 1500 incubator that works excellently- 99.6 degrees and 40-46% humidity; about 98% of eggs go to lockdown. My brooder is a second-hand GQF 1500, which holds steady at 99 degrees, 60-67% humidity. BUT, for some reason I can't figure out, very...
So I finally broke down and ordered a 5 tier brooder tower, since I have absolutely no room for more brooders (I have 3 metal brooders that I put on legs). This, of course, means I can eventually replace all 3 old brooders with brooder towers, LOL. Wonder if DH will even notice?
