I hope this is appropriate here, I am posting this for someone else. I am posting this for someone else, so I may be sketchy on some details. Ed has a 5 year old intact male GP that needs a home asap. He got Frosty as a rescue, I think about a year ago, and has to move suddenly and needs to find...

great home for ducks, try telling them that

I guess I will try to close them in for a few nights and then let them decide. I do like those a frames, but the 'big house' is already built. I found 2 frozen chicken eggs in there this morning, so the chickens like it I guess.

great home for ducks, try telling them that

I have 10 ducks, muscovies, pekins and runners. They are our free ranging during the day and I herd them into a pen at night for safety. It is starting to get cold up here so, we built them a large house for the winter. It has an open door, lots of fresh warm inviting hay in it, and most...

Free Black Cochin Rooster & Easter Egger Rooster

I need to find new homes for my 2 roosters. I love them both dearly, but have decided to go rooster less. They are both good guys I've never had any problems with them as far as aggression. The picture of Dusty, the Easter Egger does not show his tail feathers well, they have since grown in...

    Help, Duck can't wallk

I don't feed medicated, but they did get into some moldy hay the other day. We gave everyone some egg and brewer's yeast and the 2 are doing better. I will let everyone know how they are progressing. Thanks again.

    Help, Duck can't wallk

Thanks to you both. I will try the egg mixture. Today I have another one that is beginning to act lame. Unfortunately, my vet doesn't 'do' ducks, so we are on our own with this. There isn't anything in their pen that shouldn't be there, but I am continuing to keep an eye on them now.

    Help, Duck can't wallk

I went out to let my ducks out this morning and one of my Muscovies cant walk. She won't use her legs at all. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and I was able to move them gently without any protest, but she won't stand on them. She pulled her self across the ground with her wings. I put...

    Spring Fox Trouble

We are having the same problem right now also. A grey fox got in one of my tractors and killed 4 Buff pullets. He ended up digging under, I didn't have a skirt around it yet. I can only surround part of my pens with electric fencing, but someone told us to use moth balls. We made a rope out...

Thanks to all for the responses, it was very helpful. I have a better idea of what I am going to do for them. I would love to keep them in with my chickens, but I think my chicken house is maxed out.

    Scovie houseing?

Question for all you Scovie people. Do you build them housing and if so do they use it? I have 10 (I hope) scovie babies and they will eventually be housed in an outside enclosed area next to my chicken house. I was planning on making them a little house with nests inside. Is this something...
