    Meet the Colonel

This is the "Colonel" From the moment this little one was hatched I knew he was a rooster. His comb was huge and he was always watching me. He is a 4 week old Calico/Mille Frizzle bantam cochin. Don't mind the "whats up chicken butt" in the back His lovely manhood showing though.

Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

7 little fluffy butts. I had to pull one out of the shell. Poor little gal had two egg shells on her, both top and bottom. LOL She was fully zipped and waiting to come out. I am going to let that one fluff out then give them a shot. I may have to wear steel gloves to save me from big mama.

I had them in the incubator for 6 days and the power kept going out. I quickly tossed them under her. Post pictures when I...

    My rooster laid an egg

Quote: x3 that's very possible, but then, why would he go in the box? I have two roos that go into nesting boxes. They make nests for their girls and they will sit on eggs until their hens come back to lay--it is the sweetest thing. They cluck relentlessly until the hens check out what they...
