Lucky my daughter and I are so enjoying watching or babies grow up. She has requested I get more eggs. However I will be out of town this weekend.
Would this be possible?
15th thats amazing. LOL
big mama is doing great with her chicks. Now my mission is to get the other mama to go broody. Quite though... don't tell hubby.
This is the "Colonel" From the moment this little one was hatched I knew he was a rooster. His comb was huge and he was always watching me.
He is a 4 week old Calico/Mille Frizzle bantam cochin.
Don't mind the "whats up chicken butt" in the back
His lovely manhood showing though.

I have one silkie hen a year old that has YET to lay me an egg. I keep her around because she is so dang cute. The rest depends on the breed. 20-30 weeks for me.

x3 that's very possible, but then, why would he go in the box?
I have two roos that go into nesting boxes. They make nests for their girls and they will sit on eggs until their hens come back to lay--it is the sweetest thing. They cluck relentlessly until the hens check out what they...
I have 14 I just set today. They are cochin bantams. I have been keeping an eye out for anyone else hatching today. I am hand turning mine and will candle in 4 days. Yea right, I'm sure I will candle way before then.
