My mama duck who was laying on her nest (which should hatch anyday) has died and our local feed store is out of incubators. So I got a heat lamp and set up her eggs in a box underneath. I turn them slightly ever few hours and have a small jar of water on it. Anything else I should be doing? Advice?
No egg but a rock hard ball of poop, poor thing. So far so good, she' inside with only water. I have prep H & honey on hand but I'm going to leave it alone for now until it happens again.
I fixed my gooses collapse but its still pretty swollen &feels like one good push could send it out again? Ill be putting preparation H on it &possibly honey. Any other recommendations?
This just happened since lastnight & I'm not sure what to do. I looked up prolapse maybe. It doesn' seem to bother her, she' eating & walking around just fine. Advice please!!
For about a week not my female duck has been off balance, limping &really wobbly. I pick her up &see this on both feet. What the heck?

She is an Americana/Aricana (sp?) who is between 3 and 4 yrs old. Her diet consists of a breakfast and dinner of meat bird and scratch while she free ranges all day. Her appetite and water intake are as normal as ever but when I pick her up, which is at least once a day, her body itself seems...
My chicken is losing weight. Her diet has stayed the same & shes eating as much as she always has. I read garlic is a natural dewormer so just to get a jump on things I made her a special breakfast w/diced garlic on top. Any suggestions on her weight loss?
I found her today laying in a nest she made for the first time. Under her was 14 eggs. 13 brown & 1white. Could they all be from her? We only have one other female duck , which is what looks like a khaki, Im not sure of her breed. I thought pekings only layed white eggs.
