Stake,
I posted this a few weeks ago, today someone kind of dug it up. Anmywyas decided to pick up a few, and am very happy I did. All are 2 weeks old and are doing great.
I have a bunch of different size storage bins that I use, I would have them out in the coup, but the weather is not cooperating, I plan to have all but my new youngest ready to go outside in 10 days.
I was there at 5... Shame I would have waited if I knew you were coming, been cool to meet a BYCer :)
I agree with your call with the unmedicated feed. I am trying to keep my girls GMO free, and they will soon be soy free. The reason I got started in the hobby was to have better control...
Has anyone got chicks at Pickering Valley Feed? Love to hear the results. All my chicks are doing well, but we lost a few of the leghorns in the first few weeks, and I was looking to kinda fill in the ranks a bit, try some different breeds?
Just checking in folks, lot of interesting stuff on here today..
I lost two chicks on Sunday, both Leghorns, and have had two other leghorns get really weak, but was able to get both of them back. Everyone has pretty pasty butts, but I keep washing. Also put some newpaper down, as i think to...
Thanks Blarney... Yeah, we were bummed. We had a one who was doing well in the box, and that one is doing great, this one just kinda crashed outta nowhere.
I lost one of my chicks last night, just crashed really fast, and was gone a few hours later.
Other then that, Everyone else is doing great, rest of the chicks are happy and growing already. My two one month olds are huge, and love to eat. Cant wait till this weather breaks?
