I call it SLUG RUGBY.
It makes you cry laughing at our girls.
First locate juicy slug in garden..pick up with dandelion leaf etc...I do. Get their attention and throw slug! Let the games commence.
There's a race for the prize and then the winner is chased around the garden Try it xxxx
Proud...
I am confused.
I was led to believe that hand feeding is a nice way of getting friendly with your flock.
With the exception of my very large Splash Orpington Eliza who is gentle when extracting mixed corn from my palms....the others go at it like bleedin hammer drills and take usually take skin...
Love this thread...really cheered me up..macro photos are great. Can't wait to do my Orpingtons and Wynadottes when the sun comes out here in Devon:B-)
Sad news... My Buff Orpington called Henrietta died and I cried lots. Vet and myself couldn't save her. Why is it always your favourite that gets taken. She was sooooo sweet and I loved stroking her and listening to her little hoots of contentment :)
My flock looked a little empty with just two...
My teenage Buff Orpington kept sneezing randomly whilst I was out with her in the garden.
She seems happy and healthy and let me hand feed her.
Is she OK and should I give her some Apple Cider Vinegar....if so what is the dosage?
Thanks all...

Have just got 3 Orpingtons after doing lots of research into the best chicken breed for pets and eggs....you guys helped my decision so much...THANK YOU ALL!
I only got my teenage girls on Saturday and am already smitten.... I could not stop watching them and giving them scratches on...
