    Hello guys. Can anyone help me to identify the disease. My chickens are dying one by one within few hours of symptoms. You can see in the pic face is swollen and comb turned blue colour. I am from India and there is no reports of bird flu either.

    I know that, I have roosters and many hens, usually if you have hen who are fertile and suppose to lay eggs, rooster will stick around them to mate and fertilise eggs just before 10 days of laying, that I didn't noticed in this case.

    Today I was surprised to see that my 4 and half month old pullet started to lay eggs. They usually don't lay before 6 months. This never happened before. I didn't even see her mating.

    Latest update is that, there has been a white wash in my chicken coop, I Had nothing to do, only to watch them dying. Sorry guys RIP all.

    I am really confused, don't know what to do. Till now what I have understood only the adult birds which are inter mating each other are effected of them 2 are rooster and 5 hen. Young ones are not showing any symptoms till now.

    Yes I agree with Ol Grey Mare, you don't have any other way to tell the eggs are fertile or not but this will work if all the eggs are from same hen so Good luck and happy hatching.

    This bird is indigenous breed of north east India, these birds are light weight and male weighs to 2.4 kg and female 1.5 kg. these are mixed coloured and are very flexible.
