Commercials paid for by chemical companies is what drives 'your lawn needs fertilizer'
Plants thrived for millions of years before humans mucked things up, and as needlessjunk stated - ducks provide fantastic fertilizer!
Update 7/8/15:
Tentatively, the Welshies have a new home in the works, however Khaki and Squirt are again available.
As noted originally, I prefer them to be re-homed together as they are BFF's - and to an established, freezer camp free flock.
Thank you for your interest!
Dan
I apologize for the delayed update - and thank you to all who have PM'd me, or posted here interested in giving a new home to my Little's - I've actually been working with a fellow BYC member on a forever home for them, and hadn't had a chance to update this thread.
If things do not work out...
Hello fellow Pennsylvanians....
Due to an unfortunate near future change in living arrangements, I must now find new loving home, or homes, for my 5 beautiful young ducks :(
I am looking for a pet only, freezer camp free home for these beautiful pets, as I can no longer keep them, and cannot...
That will work fine - and I, personally, prefer brewers yeast over concentrated niacin, as you can not over dose the Little's on brewers yeast.
A teaspoon or two per day, sprinkled over their food will do.
Good luck!!
Dan
Well, it's bad news for my future in duck parenting...
Due to an unfortunate change in living arrangements soon, I must now find a new loving home, or homes, for my 5 beautiful young ducks - (including my 3 Welsh females - why I'm adding a post here) :(

The pen you aquired, to me, appears to have been originally built as a rabbit hutch, not a duck pen.
I've seen very few duck pens built off of the ground.
If you do a search here on BYC, there are several threads on duck housing.
Here is an example thread...
I've read in many places that ducks need anywhere from 2-10sq ft per duck at night (depending upon the source). I prefer to go with a minimum of 6sq ft - this allows them to move about and stretch their wings (I have a live cam set up in my ducks' barn - and they are much more active at night...
Good find - how big is it? 3 adult Khakis will need approximately 18 sq ft of space minimum, and that's if they are only in there at night.
Otherwise I do see two fixable issues.
1. The ladder (soon to be ramp?) Looks way too steep for ducks - it will need to be a much shallower angle. Ducks...
Amiga,
When I find a bumble on one of my Little's, I start by soaking their little feet for 7-10 minutes daily (or roughly 2 songs on my phone - it's always in my pocket playing music when I'm out with the duckers) for a week or so in Epson salt water.
Actually, lately I've had 2 of my 5 with...
Beginings of bumblefoot...a very common foot infection in domestic birds, especially waterfowl.
Soak her feet daily, for 10 minutes or so, in Epson salt water (1-2 tablespoons of Epson salt dissolved in 1qt lukewarm water - and do NOT let her drink it, it's a laxative), then apply decolorized...
Chicken wire fencing is for keeping chickens 'in', not for keeping anything 'out'.
You need 1/2" welded, galvanized (and preferably coated) hardware cloth.
It should be securely attached on all sides with heavy staples, screws with washers, or sandwiched between boards.
Ultimately, you want...
