When did your hen start laying
My girls are 6 months old and none of them have laid yet, but my friends girls are are we ordered them together...anyone have any guesses as to why? I have 2 Easter eggers and a barred rock.- mrsnic8

darn, thats such a bummer...that one was my sons favorite but i definitely didnt want extra chicks right now. waiting to hear back from the hatchery on replacing him and possibly rehoming him.- mrsnic8

RIR Hen or Roo?
I ordered my RIR from a hatchery, along with a Barred Rock and two Easter Eggers..they're all about 12 weeks old now. the RIR didn't seem to develop any faster than the others, but something about it makes me wonder if i got a roo instead of a hen. can anyone offer some insight?- mrsnic8
