It stopped bleeding, and I cleaned it. Just wasn't sure about ointment. I will apply some now. The chicks were only in the coop for a couple hours while the weather was nice. They stay inside for the most part. Thank you for your advice, I hope he pulls through.
I recently built a coop out of an old play area. I built a ramp so chickens can go up to the laying area but I'm not sure how steep is too steep. Any advice?
I added a pic to the original post. I believe he got too close to the side of the coop and a cat was able to grab the wing. Is there any medication ok to put on chicks?
i have a one week old guinea that has had one of the wings taken off somehow. I am not sure how it happened. It was with my chicks and when I went to check on them ,the guinea's wing had been torn off. I thought the bird would die last night, but it is walking around like nothing has happened...
