It's just the framed roof. The beams ur seeing are the top roost beams. I leave my door and window open during the hot days along with the chicken door to provide a nice breeze, but my flock free ranges freely on the property and prefer to spend their day in the shades wood line. We used transparent fiber glass roofing. It allows the sunlight in to provide heat in the coop :)- dusica731

Boy or girl?
Thank you everyone! I'm thinking Roo as well... He has bigger wattles and comb then my 10 week old GLW that was suppose to be a Roo. I really think GLW is a pullet :/- dusica731

disease???? HELP!!!!
If in fact it is lice, u can treat with Sevin Dust 5%. Best time is when the flock is roosting for the night. Ull have to treat the entire flock and repeat treatment again after 7 days...- dusica731

I ordered 1 Roo and one Pullet from Meyers. We lost one GLW after receiving delivery. I assumed it was the pullet dues to the "mask" pattern above her eyes. Anyhow, here we are at close to 8 weeks old, and I'm now second guessing gender. What do u think?- dusica731

9 Week Partridge Plymouth Rock - pullet or cockerel??
This is Darby, she's 11 weeks. I've noticed that the pullets feet will stay grayish, and the Roos will be bright yellow. Hope this helps :)- dusica731
