This is my girls' new house they just got moved into yesterday...it isn't quite finished...the area to the right of the house is going to be a rooftop garden.
So my husband has been working on our new duck house/pen for a few weeks and we finally moved them in today! The rooftop to the right of the house part is going to be a garden just haven't gotten around to that part yet. They seem to like it so far and do really well with the ramps.
Yeah...I'm pretty sure its still too soon to tell and mine is starting to make noises that seem like they may be turning into quacks...so I think only time will tell...and on another note it looks like we have matching duckling pairs lol this pic is a few weeks old but its the most recent one I...
Thank you guys. Yours are beautiful Going Quackers. Another question do buffs fly? When I thought she was pekin I didn't think I would have to worry now I'm wondering if I'm going to need to clip her wings or something
Even more confused now than before. Except I now know she's NOT a pekin. But not all that sure she's a buff either. Lots of white still mixed in. Here's some updated pictures.
Funny mine are the opposite my Rouen/mallard (don't know which yet, and I'm getting conflicting opinions) is perfect and my buff is the spaz lol I will have to just start pointing feet away, I try supporting her feet and it seems to almost make it worse.
I have 2 ducks, one can be carried around no problem, the other kicks her feet like crazy and those little toes are SHARP. Is there a trick to carrying her so she will stay calm and not rip my arm to shreds?
And a couple pictures of them because they're too cute not to share ;)
Woke up to Dexter's eye looking like this this morning. I gave him a bath in nice clean water and am making saline solution as we speak, just waiting for it to cool. I looked through some old threads and found out about the veterycin so I will go get some of that too. Any idea though what it...
Seriously can't get enough of these cuties....thought I would show them off ;)
I have been using this picnic blanket to help dry them off and cuddle with since the first day they came home and they are both really attached to it
And because, you know, brooms make for a really good place...
