What precautions are you folks generally taking in the UK now?
Is it a solid roof? Why about water access etc?
It sounds daunting two me that I will need to restrict the freedom of my two ducks.
Any info, advice etc are very welcome
Thanks
I have a pond for my two ducks which has kind of matured now. I don't have to change the water as it is filtered all the time. Duck weed helps keep it clear in summer. I have two pond pumps/filters both with UV. That is how I keep it clean. Good luck.
Thanks. They seem to be fine with it. They only have it in the morning and graze for the rest of the day. Do you think it would be related to feather problems? I can change to something else to try
They both eat layers' pellets

they also enjoy meal worms and have the lawn to themselves.

Thanks. I took her to my vet. He was not so sure what it was either. He thinks it could be mites but the other one does not have any problems so that rules mites out. He then said it could be some sort of tumor but there is not much to do about that. He took some pictures and will share those...
Hi all,
I just noticed that my female budgie (probably 6-7 years old) has something like a piece of hard skin on her beak, on her nostrils. I am attaching a few pictures. Is this something to worry about? Is it worth getting a vet appointment? Thanks in advance
Yes it does. But it does not last very long. I just feel at home on this thread. And I learned so much from it too. I should say that my ducks are not 100% house ducks; they spend most of their time out in the garden pond. But it is so nice to have them in the living room once in a while. My...
