Australians - Where are you all????

There are a number of backyard poultry forums located in Australia. Nostress is on one of them. I don't know if she has a username here, sorry. There are a number of differences between the Australian Standards and the American Poultry Standards. The laced wyandottes also have some slight...

Australians - Where are you all????

Australia is a big place and I don't know where you are located but the BYP directory has five brahma breeder listings. There is also a breeder on the Backyard Poultry forum living in the South East Qld area that has brahma or will know some contacts if you message her. Her username is nostress.

Australians - Where are you all????

Yes, it's not unusual to see effects a little after the heat. If they are weaker or a bit low after brooding or a heavy moult they will be less resilient. A heat wave can stop them laying completely, but the heavy panting to keep cool affects the blood chemistry and has results such as low...

Australians - Where are you all????

Hi, Shell-less eggs can be result of excessive heat. I don't know where you live in Australia but at the moment we are having very hot weather in Queensland and chickens do not do so well if they are heat-stressed. Shell-less eggs can be a result. What's the weather been like where you are?

    The Sussex thread!

They must be getting close. I am in Australia, but here the pullets do tend to come into lay even out of season although it can take a little longer. In season, our lights come in at around 28 weeks. Here is one of our pullets from last season. I would like to see a little more leg and a...

    Australian Sebastapol Breeders

I hope you did end up getting a sebastopol and still have them. We keep a few here in SEQ and find them lovely. They are hard to sex though. This is a young male we hand-raised this season.

I haven't used a kindle so I can't say. I think it's an android device so I would go to the Tapatalk download site and click on android. It will give you some buttons to show where to go to get the download. http://www.tapatalk.com/mobile.php You could ask the Tapatalk people or the Kindle...

Yes, the Tapatalk site says that it works with Kindle Fire. If you can afford to buy it, I would give it a try.

It's not Tapatalk. I do it with Tapatalk on other forums where the attachment is enabled and also where the file format group is enabled as well. It could be made to work here.

BYC Now Available On TapaTalk - For Mobile Devices (iPhones, iPads, Tablets, Android, etc.)

Aha! There is a photobucket App and it's free and simple to use. Forget the attachment if it's not going to work. Just upload to photobucket and copy the link here. I'm going to try the img link first. Link deleted In case that doesn't work (can't see a preview button in Tapatalk here)...

BYC Now Available On TapaTalk - For Mobile Devices (iPhones, iPads, Tablets, Android, etc.)

I'm only guessing, but it looks to me like the Tapatalk system will attach pictures but that attachments are disabled in the forum software here. It would be very helpful to have them enabled because on ipads it's a nuisance to flick between different photo hosting options. I haven't found a...
