*Update* After getting her over to the neighbors and being able to get a closer look, it was decided to euthanize her. She had three splits, one where the compaction had ruptured through and a few maggots. She was very warm, labored breathing, and did not smell good. Thanks for all the info.- thejaxx

Can tell fall is almost here. Hawks and coons..... Within the last two days, my ayam cemani got injured. Not sure if from trying to get away from a hawk, raccoon, jumping down from perch, from porch, etc. Attached two videos.... need recommendations please. When I do pick her up, she SCREAMS...- thejaxx

Pelleted pine bedding?
has anyone used this? I’ve been using the deep layer method, but it’s getting to a point where disposal and such is a hassle. I saw this and noticed reviewers talking about using it for pens, ferrets, etc.- thejaxx

It is chick starter crumble and am adding brewers yeast. I got some niacin the other day as well and started feeding it to the duckling, along with save-a-chick probiotics and electrolytes. It seems to be getting worse though, it’s not got its head back and up, with the neck swaying back and... -

This isn’t the normal behavior I’ve seen them doing, where they dive, etc. the first time I saw this the other night, it was in distress. And it’s neck will just “flop” around in a spasm. When the neck does it, it causes the duckling to fall over and it’s unable to right itself for a few minutes. -

Not sure. Here’s a few videos I took. In first, wings keep flitting. And you can see posture of neck. In the other two, you’ll see what happens when it dunks it’s head and tries to put head up to swallow.
