The band-aid treatment works! I had a chick a couple of years ago with splayed legs and I used that method and it fixed the problem. I still have the chicken- we named her Gimpy.

70 is warm for humans but chicks need 90 degrees their first week then 85 their second week, 80 the 3rd week etc. You were lucky your last chicks survived. Please put a heating pad in with them and get a heat lamp as soon as you can! Good luck!
Thanks for the input! So far we love the EE. She has the best personality- very outgoing and friendly which made me think she might be a he. Also their tails are curled over a bit. That's why I needed some expert advise.
Please help me determine whether all of my pullets are pullets. I had them sexed before I purchased them but you never know.... I'm only keeping 3 so I'd like to make sure I pick pullets. They are 6 weeks old. Thanks!

I have 3 Australorps and one Barred Rock. They are all very friendly and spoiled rotten. The BR is at the top of the pecking order- she's the biggest. She doesn't really like to be picked up but will tolerate it. She's VERY food motivated and is always the first one to come running to me for treats.
