    Buff Orpington's?

Oh you're fine! Hey, the more the merrier. This is a learning process. I've never been on one these groups before...I'm sure I drive people crazy but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Don't worry about deleting from this thread. It's all good! ;)

    Buff Orpington's?

They actually have a pretty good variety around here & if you order you can get about anything. However, even with a special order you can end up with other kinds. I had considered ordering from Murray McMurray Hatechery online. They have great reviews.

    Buff Orpington's?

Yes Yes, for sure not Ameraucana's. They look nothing like the rest. They are much lighter than my RI Reds so I was hoping for Buff Orpington's since they also had them at feed store...wishful thinking I guess. :)

    Buff Orpington's?

Thanks for sharing. My RI Reds are dark like this. I've had some bad luck with getting the wrong kind of chicks this year. Do you know of a reputable place to order quality birds in future? Thanks again!

    Buff Orpington's?

Are Production Reds & Rhode Islands Reds similar? If so, my Rhode Islands are much darker.

    Buff Orpington's?

Bought these as Ameraucana's, but thinking they might be Buff Orpington's. Any thoughts?

How old do chicks need to be before introducing to flock?

I'm new to raising chickens & my "flock" consists of 8 week old Dominique's. I also purchased 5 Rhode Island Reds & 6 Silver Laced Wyandottes all being around 4 weeks. They have pretty much feathered out & I let them free range with Dominique's during day but the Dominique's chase & peck at...

What type & gender is this?

I think you're the winner @donrae. I looked them up & it looks exactly like her! They say they're typically docile which she is most certainly not. :) Thanks for your help! I feel much better knowing what she is for what ever reason. :)

What type & gender is this?

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not sure what it is, but it's nothing like the rest. Very scared of you & if you catch, it will latch onto you like a snapping turtle. Needless to say...not my fav. :)
