I'd like to get a rooster for my hens although city ordinance does not allow them. My thinking is if the collar works, it would be a non-issue. -Brad

iwiw60, My "hen house" is about 3' wide x 3-4' high (sloped roof) x 6' long. The house is actually self contained inside one of our garages. We cut a "pop door" into the garage so they an access the outside run.

That's what I'm leaning toward iwiw60, (both inside and out...at least during winter) however my coop is not nearly as large as yours.

Hi, I have a Golden Comet (Red Sex Link), Buff Orpington, Barred Rock and A Rhode Island Red. The Rhode Island Red's feathers seem to almost glisten with a greasy look to them. Anyone else notice this? Thanks, Brad
