I am really glad to hear this is normal too! I was getting a little worried that I had some kind of crazy sumo chickens as well! Mine do it most when first thing in the morning when I let them out of the coop it's a little wake up ritual or something :P

I looked up sex-links and I agree that looks much more like them especially the black ones!

Thanks I agree I don't think they are what the chick boxes at the grain store were marked accept for the RR. I will check for yellow soles of feet and try to get some close ups of comb and wattle!

As promised I'm back with photos! I am pretty sure they are about 6 weeks old I have had them for 5weeks I was told the black ones were Jersey Giants and the Red ones were Road Island Red... I am unsure if that is true one of the reds has an awfully lot of white on her (him?). I am pretty sure...

Thank you all! I will get some pics this evening and maybe you all can help me figure out if they are hens or roosters. From the info on here I think I have one rooster (which will have to find a new home because of city zoning or something) the rest I am pretty unsure of.
