This is probably a stupid question... I have not had silkies before now. Do they lay eggs as much as the other chickens? Do you eat their eggs or just for hatching? ?

Yes...I can tell. The first one I got (the blue)thinking it was smooth but then noticed the feathers were different from the other two I got that were a little older. Then i went and got the partridge and another tiny blue. The partridge definitely looks different. love them all! I am hooked...

So confused. ..I have 3 that look like they are sizzles or frizzled silkies I will post some pics maybe you can help me

So...I was told a frizzled silkie and a sizzle are the same thing. What is the difference? Just trying to learn all this fun stuff :-)

So I am now a new chicken junkie totally addicted! I used to be a professional horse trainer...can you imagine what I could do with this set up?
