Percentages are only over a large population - not one hatch. I had a broody hatch 5 eggs. 4 were roosters. Argh!

I've never left them in before, but I've had hatchlings knock my eggs around so much that I've had viable eggs not hatch (some that had pipped also). It makes me wonder if they knock them wrong and drown them. So I thought I'd try it with rails in this time to minimize the rolling of the eggs...

I had the power go out for 8 hours in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, being the middle of the night, I didn't event think about my incubator until I got up in the morning. And I still had a great hatch rate!
