Chkn - it's working a treat! Thank you. All those massive lumps just pull gently away in the water bath after the vasoline has been on them overnight. There's still a tad bleeding when scrubbing the legs but they are looking so much better. I'll get photos soon

I have adopted this chicken and from the looks of her legs she looks like she's been suffering for some time with scaly leg mites. I've oiled her legs (and she's been digging in my garden!!!). Can this be cured? What should I be doing? Natural remedies are preferred if they work

Thanks. I cleaned the coop today and I'm off to get some shavings. I found mites on one of my old girls so everyone got a bath, DE and a good clean out of the coop. They are foraging free range at the moment so are happy and in 'work' mode:-) I also gave them se garlic I just minced so...

Can you use hay? Or are there complications?
