Adopted chicken with severe scaly leg mites - help

I have adopted this chicken and from the looks of her legs she looks like she's been suffering for some time with scaly leg mites. I've oiled her legs (and she's been digging in my garden!!!). Can this be cured? What should I be doing? Natural remedies are preferred if they work

Rub Vaseline on the legs. Make sure to goop it on and rub into lifted scales which drowns the critters.

Chkn - it's working a treat! Thank you. All those massive lumps just pull gently away in the water bath after the vasoline has been on them overnight. There's still a tad bleeding when scrubbing the legs but they are looking so much better. I'll get photos soon
