Hello everyone, I have a GQF 1588 Hova-bator. I am having issues with the temp matching up to my other hygro-thermometer thermometer. I want to me sure I am ok with a .8 degree difference. My hygrometer is a extech hyro thermometer 445715. What are your views on both. The humidity is...
So I am looking to add about 3 Heritage barred rocks to my flock of orpingtons. I am looking for really good places to order chicks from or be able to pick up. I am in the Fredericksburg,VA area so if any of you have had great experience with one or people places please let me know.
Ugh....not what I was hoping for. None of my other hens are having a problem, knock on wood, her eggs are in perfect condition. It is the weirdest thing ever. Aside from all else she is doing wonderful. Just killing me and I really hope it isn't ib. Thank you so much, guess I will be doing...
Ok so I have a hen that is just about a yr old. Last week she started sneezing and wheezing. I got super worried and watched her for a bit. She had no other signs of distress. In fact she looks like her normal self. Eating, drinking, still laying and dusting. She feels well enough to chase...
So my daughter totally fell in love with your pullet. Do you sell any of your girls that color or could you point me in a direction to get one. I wouldnt be ready till next year.
Hello everyone. I have a chick that is 12 weeks old and well i am not sure what it is. A boy or a girl. It is a orpington barred rock cross and gorgeous. Can you give an opinion or 2 about what you guys think.
It just sucks when it happens. We have tried to make sure each one is healthy and we do everything we can but sometimes it isn't enough. I am so sorry for loss and know my heart is with you.
Unfortunately the little guy ended up not making it. I believe I have a hot spot in my incubator which is making them show up a bit early just in that spot. He also had terrible legs and feet. However I do have 11 very healthy happy babies. Just sucks to lose Even 1.

Update! My rooster is still with us. He now has a bachelor pad and sleeps there. He gets to hang out with the ladies and we hold him about everyday. He seems to have settled into this new routine well. I have noticed that if he isn't handled for a couple of days he can be a little nasty but...
I have an 8 month old Blue Orpington Rooster and he is slowly starting to become aggressive. He bit my daughter when she picked him up and then later while I was trying to hand feed the hens treats he got aggressive with me. He has even tried the whole climbing up my leg thing. Is this...
Ok friends another question for you all. I have a one month old splash orpy that whenever she gets to warm out side she starts to make this weird gagging motion. Or that's what it looks like. It seems to get better when I move her into the shade and she cools down. She also seems to get hot...
Ok everyone. I have a baby that is all by its self. The other egg it was hatched with didn't make it out of the egg. Now I don't know what to do. I have 6 pullets 2 which should start laying any day now. I would love to integrate my baby eventually but I am afraid she will imprint on us. As...
Help!!!!! So I am on day 20 of my first incubation. I noticed that the last 3 days my eggs were wobbling like crazy but tonight they seem to have stopped. Should I be worried or is this normal before they begin to pip. Temp is 99.5 and humidity is about 77%.
