Good idea Shelley! Hey Kygal, are yours gold Sebrights? If so, give me a price on the eggs including shpg, and if you take Paypal or would rather another payment method. Then I'll have Shelley PM you her address to send them to her.
Thanks, Cindy
aw never mind I just reread and you...
I have 3 eggs now and probably another one or two tomorrow. I'd like to get these to someone local. I don't want to try to ship so few eggs. We've had 100% hatch rate so far, but only hatched 3...lol I'm in Sharpsburg, KY. These will need to be gotten by Thursday.

One breed of chicken my Hubby showed real interest in is the gold sebright(a non-chicken man mind you) he thinks the female is the prettiest bird ever, and if I had a broody right now I would be looking for gold sebright eggs just to keep a girl and give the rest to our friends at the...
Is there anybody in my area that would like to get some sebright hatching eggs? So far we've had 100% hatch rate. I have 3 right now and probably another one tomorrow. If anyone is getting ready to fire up the incubator and would like them, let me know. I don't want to ship.
Well...the time has come. My meaties have been with us now for a couple of months and they are enormous! This weekend is our first venture into this part of chickens...let's hope it goes well. I'm also counting on decent weather for this, but who knows in KY?!?
Any words of wisdom for a newbie??
Glad to hear that you guys are able to be out and about today. The water has gone down here already, thank goodness. I feel bad for all those that got water in their homes and businesses. I don't think Bath County has had a flood like that for quite a while...

I didnt make it I was at a show but heard that they had the biggest croud ever! and you had to take a step stop take a step stop...
Just my luck! I should've went! But then again, if I had, I would surely have brought something else home. Last time I brough home 3 chickens and 2 great...
Dang it! I wish Corbin wasn't so far away! I told hubby I'd keep looking for them last night and he didn't seem to mind not having them too much. Maybe next spring we'll have better luck.
My first batch of meaties are growing like wildfire!! I heard that they grew fast, but really had NO idea...
I really wanted to find hubby some baby ducks somewhere local, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. I only wanted a couple, but I've waited til after Easter so they're all gone at TSC. Oh well...don't guess we really NEEDED ducks.
Maysville's TSC had amber link and asst. red chicks today for 0.99....guess who brought home 7?? LOL! They were all straight run of course...I bet I picked all roo's! Oh well, they are cute and fuzzy and POSSIBLY one day will lay some eggs for me...

Oh my! I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad! I'll keep him in my prayers.
Glad that your hatch went well. It was too bad about the twins, it would have been awesome for them both to live!

Awesome! I go to the Maysville campus. I'm finishing up anatomy and physiology this semester and am VERY happy about it! Nursing classes start this fall for me....so happy, excited and scared at the same time!!

I got some great news today!! I start my nursing classes this fall! I'm so happy!
My chickie babies are growing nicely...thought I'd ordered dark cornish but got cornish x's instead. Wow those things can grow! Wasn't quite prepared for birds that got so big so quick, but we're making it work...

They are great! The girls aren't laying very regularly right now, but they seem to be a little moody. lol We tried to hatch about 5 of their eggs, but had an incubator malfunction. Guess I'll try again!
Hey guys!
I haven't been around much lately! We hatched 1 of about 9 eggs in the inubator, made me sad, BUT I did get Hoss, a golden sebright. I also got my chick order in on Friday. One baby silkie died, NOT good, but to be expected. We've got the webcam on them and Hubby is super excited...
A note from the homefront since Kyguy is running around leaving all the hatching and baby chick tending to the wifey...heehee
"Hoss" as I'm calling him/her right now, is doing really well! He's making a lotta noise right now in his new home. I think he's lonely, but will have friends arriving...
