Gotcha! If I had looked at the dimensions, I would have seen that the storage side was larger then the coop. This is the best floorplan I've seen, and I'm going to push to have one of my own. Thanks for getting back on this and I would like to see more pictures when you get a chance.
I really like this floor plan and hopefully can get hubby on board to build it for me and the girls. The run is on the "stall/storage" side so do your chickens now have access to the storage side to be able to get into the run? The only thing I would do for me is to have the run on the coop...
I'm going to show hubby your coop and run and hopefully I will get something this nice. I love the area where you separate new or young chickens... Brilliant plan and I really liked the fact that you put the comfort and security of your chickens first. Thanks for sharing and the step by step...
Survey says.... Chick-A-Dee is now Chuck-A-Dee. I appreciate the confirmation of what I suspected. If anything changes, and Chuck starts laying eggs, I'll let everyone know. LOL
Thanks for the input Griffinsong. I've been staring at her/him for the last couple of days and I was leaning more towards cockerel but wanted feedback from more experienced chicken keepers. Chick-A-Dee is so sweet that I'll keep him as long as the neighbors don't complain. Fresh eggs should...
A very nice family gave me these four Ameraucana pullets. They were hand raised by her four kids and have wonderful personalities. I've had them for a month now, and I'm thinking that Chick-A-Dee (white and black) may be a rooster. She said they were Araucana pullets, but I'm pretty sure they...
Thanks for the info spotsplus. I did actually see some really good buys on ebay for fertile eggs and made sure I read all the feedback. I may choose that route once I can decide on an incubator. I guess I'm going to have to take the plunge and just try one that I think will work best for me...
Hello all,
I am intersted in hatching chicken eggs that I will be purchasing from a reliable source. (not sure who yet). I would like to keep costs down but would like to have something reliable and some whistles, no bells.
I am planning on trying 24 eggs first and I don't think I will go...
