They weren't eating the same food either. The chicks were a till on starter feed. There isn't much they had the same besides they were mother am daughter and the weather an water.
Nothing at all. Nothing to catch our eye. And they have never been together since mom bird rejected her. We are at a loss. We are feeding them and they get water. It's weird
We have two coops and lately two chickens from each coop have passed away. Today was the chicken I nursed back to health when it's mother rejected her, surprisingly two weeks before her mother passed away. We can't think of anything that is killing them, they didn't have tram a to them and the...
Its almost like the moms broke the egg shell off of it. I don't get it. It hasn't hatched or pipped. We have one egg that has a beak thru it but we are leaving it alone. If the one that has half of its shell missing doesnt break through by tomorrow should we assist?
So we looked in the coop with the moms today and there was an egg with half of the hard shell missing but its still covered by a soft white membrane (I think.) What do I do? We moved it to the box with the two other chick. I am scared it will get dried up under the lamp. Should I remove the...
My little guy/girl has two wounds so I have been putting medicine on them but the neosporin seems to have coated it all over. It needs a bath also just to clean up the wounds an get fresh air and all. Any ideas
I am thinking four days old. Its wounds are healing good, it only has one eye. I left a bowl of mash with yolk, water and regular food in his box. I tried to feed it its yolk this am and wad peakin at me. So
I have recused a chick from the coop that was wounded. I have been feeding it egg yolk and some mash out of a syringe and I wondering when she will start eating or drinking on its own. Also how often should I feed it? It drinks water when I show it but it isnt interested in food. Tia
I went back to egg yolk cuz it doesn't seem to interested in mash. We have another chick in the coop. Its perfectly healthy. If this one makes it it will be special. It will love us an like to be held. Its wounds are healing I am just wondering if it will grow feathers at all on the wounds
This little one is up an walking. Its drinking water an eating little bits but is much more interested in drinking water. But here is his updated pictures!
This one above is his bad eye
I am going to try mash tonight. She didn't eat much in the way of lunch but she pooped! So it means she was getting something! I am still worried about her eye. Highly doubt she will have two but her next wounds are healing. I think.

Well today is a better day for her. She escaped her box and was chirping on the floor. We switched her to a bigger box with higher sides, fed her breakfast and gave her water. She had a midnight feeding aswell. It seems to get very mouthy when it hears our roosters. So good signs?
She has eaten about 3ml of egg yolk, tomorrow I will introduce mush for dinner tomorrow and she has also drank good amount of water. Its up an walking a bit but still sleeps a lot. Wounds look to be healing, not as red or bloody. Its eye is ify but it has one good eye!
