fluffy,
there can be a lot of differences, depending on your scale and level of incubation.
To keep it simple, you can use multi-stage parameters as this would be easier for you.
Use 99.5 for the first 25 days with a humidity of about 50-55%. for the last 3 days, drop to 98.5 F and increase...
this is not normal.
i would suspect, that with prolonged exposure to moisture, with the cheap build quality of the sportsman, you might be susceptible to the ply swelling.
is your fan working properly? because with a temperature of 99 - 100 all that water should evaporate and be circulated in...
Does anyone here ship fertile eggs out of the united states?
If not does anyone know of any hatcheries who do?
Chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese and gamebirds.

also, can you point me to some wiring diagrams for the incubator set up...
havi, yeh b, i am doing some sketches atm for another coop with a small run attached. trying to reduce daily juggling with dogs out chickens in, chickens out dogs in etc.
happy chick, are your friends in trinidad into animals? or just here on work?
to the more experienced folk; i have a few q's:
1 - i read here that the preferred position for egg setting is as it would be laying on a flat surface with the pointed side slightly lower than the rounded side. i noticed that most incubators have them seated as they would be in the cartons from...
In keeping with the introduction format, i'll just answer the questions recommended by the mods on joining:
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am not that new, i had been around chickens a bit when i was really young and my brother and i started experimenting...
