    Chicken Incessantly Squawking

We live in the city and we have six hens. Just one of them feels the need to squawk incessantly all day long. They are 7 months old and have been laying for a few months: she laid for a little while, then went broody which quieted her down, now she is laying again and squawking again. She will...

Dark Cornish Hen - Tampa Bay Area, FL

We have a small backyard flock and our neighbor's house (who is a police officer friend of ours) is rather close. HELP! Hen's eyes scabbed shut from Mycoplasma!

Did the warm compress, got one eye partially open, the other scab wouldn't let up. I'm very concerned about how she will eat or drink the water with her antibiotic, if she can't see.

HELP! Hen's eyes scabbed shut from Mycoplasma!

HELP! Hen's eyes scabbed shut from Mycoplasma!

She is separated from the flock. We have her on Oxytetracycline and we apply Vetericyn ophthalmic ointment twice a day. The eye is still swollen but the wounds are starting to scab and heal... problem is she can't see. I don't know what to do for her. All advice is welcome.

First Flock! What breed are my girls? We are dying to know!

This is our first flock of backyard chickens and it has been such a great experience to raise our 6 girls from baby chicks to hens now laying eggs! My only unfulfilled chicken wish is to know their breeds! I have attached a picture of each hen, they are 6 months old. Thanks everybody!
