    Not long after she laid those yolks she perked up again and her tail went back up. We believe both hens have been laying, when they first started we were finding eggs down on the ground near their food. Our other hen has been laying them in the nest box.

    Thanks for the suggestions :) This afternoon i placed each chicken near the bottom of the ladder and they all walked up fine. Left them for a while and came back to one of the chickens sitting half way down the ladder. Woohoo! We have made progress.

    I will give that a go. It does have chicken wire on the back so they cant fall through, but it's obviously still see through.

    As the title states my chickens won't go up or down their ladder. I've tried putting their food at the bottom to try encourage them but they won't budge. We have placed them on the ladder and they can definitely climb it. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Here are some more recent pics.. The middle one is definitely a cockerel. I think the one on the right is definitely a pullet and not sure on the left. The comb hasn't changed size but does have a small amount of pink in it.
