It was good to meet you, too, Larissa. Thanks for the eggs. My hen, Bo was happy to have them. Don't worry about your house, mine isn't much better because housework isn't high on my list of priorities. My kids are supposed to help with the chores which helps get more done but not perfectly...

We are very excited! Two chicks hatched out today from the eggs we got for our broody hen. Yay! She still has eight more eggs to go. I enjoyed the story of the mother hen teaching her chicks to roost.

Good Morning! I don't post very often although I do read what everyone else is doing. I have a broody Austrolorp hen. Does anyone have fertile eggs available? What kind are they? How much do they cost? Where are you located? We are north of Phoenix in Desert Hills area. Thanks, Vivian

I've enjoyed reading all the posts from the Arizona people. We spent the day checking out some of the local feed stores to find out prices and availability of supplies. It was fun! Last night we priced coop supplies at Home Depot.

Interested in getting chickens in AZ

Thanks for the greetings. However, I hope chickens aren't too much like goldfish. The goldfish we had died and we really don't know why. It also seems as though they would have more personality than goldfish.

Interested in getting chickens in AZ

We are currently in the research phase of getting chickens. We live north of Phoenix and have had cats, gerbils and tried goldfish so getting livestock will be a bit of a leap. There are eight in our family although my oldest son lives on his own and my oldest daughter is teaching in China. My...
