Do like the size thou... and the protection.. I do have a cattle panel I could use.. I could look into the wheels.. I read further and one person can move..
nice to know its a possible solution - it looks good to me.. I am almost considering both.. inside the fenced area... so they could run to the closest..
Id like to use what ive got on hand rather than find a new thing even if its old to someone else..

I am considering building a chicken tractor for 5 chickens. This needs to be something that I can move by myself.
I will be putting it inside an electric web netting fence... I will only use during the day. However it gets shady fast here / overcast and I hear owls out sometimes...
Hi - I visited a farm that had apple trees next to their chicken run.. it was supposed to be good for worms and the chickens loved the apples.
But I just read a pamplet that said to not plant apple trees near your coop because of bears..
I wanted to make my coop area attractive and shady and...
Also - what hardware cloth do folks use? Are there different types (gauges) or is all hardware cloth the same?
IE - Do I just get any hardware cloth at the hardware store - or am I looking for a specific gauge?? .
Ps - I know to avoid the chicken wire... etc..

Wow - that is a big set up - do you have the same net on your vertical walls as well? I see the electric fencing - what are you using there? I was thinking of using portable electric fence for moving chickens in day - but now am wondering if I need it around my permanent area as well... thanks...

Got another coop design question. Im having a bit of difficulty understanding what is going on inside of a chicken coop.
It seems that there are nesting boxes right above the floor area so that a chicken can walk inside the nesting box.
Then it seems that there are roosts 18" or higher...
