It's weird, the trays are super small, because I don't want to invest a lot of money til I kinda figure it out plus I only have 6 chickens (so far). Trays seem to be draining and they grow quickly. I keep them in front of the window, but I noticed on day 4, there is a little spot of mold. The...
ok, so i started growing fodder on a tiny scale...2 rubbermaid containers 6 inches sq. grew it in the garage, but it was possibly too warm or humid, and it started to mold. Any ideas on how to keep it from doing it again? I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, so it is by no means overly...
OK so I see this debate about sand and it amazes me how adamant people can get about it. I first read about sand from the chicken chick and then researched it because it sounded great to me...really only read one serious article against it, but the argument didn't hold much weight for me or...
My husband thinks I'm nuts. I go to work at 6:30 am so I made "chicken packets" zip lock baggie with different stuff like scrambled eggs, fruit veggies frozen blueberries and whatever else...bag it up and throw it in freezer...toss one or 2 in the fridge and they thaw over night. Sprinkle...

I guess it's always a guessing game :). Same Banty dad, but 2 Banty hens...both cream colored. I don't really "care". Just curious. I have a serious case of Oocd. (Overly obsessive chicken disorder ).

So first off, I'm new to this, so I hope I'm doing it right...anyway, my sister gave me 3 Banty chicks this fall, but we wonder what they may be.. They look similar to quail Antwerp Belgians. They are 23 wks. They are very spoiled and friendly.
