    Hi, I'm out here in Florence with 11 hens and 1 adorable rooster. My hens are of varying ages, but one is actually six. No hatching eggs for me. I get my chicks from Deiss Feed in Eugene. I am trying to decide if I want to add new girls or give up raising them. I do love my chickens.

    I left an old horse hay container that is metal in my remodeled chicken coop. My two brahmas are roosting on it. Is this bad for their feett? I worry a lot.
