    Unless the weather is going to be in the 40's at night I would put them out at 14 days. 4 weeks is way too long even if it is cold out. Those birds are heat machines and they can take cold a lot sooner than egg layers. Barry

    I have had them pile on top of each other in intense heat to get away from the sun. Make sure they have enough shade on a hot day. I also take away all food when the heat is strong. Barry

    Well my two pigs went to the butcher on Saturday. The hanging weight of the larger one was 135 lbs and the smaller was 110 lbs. So defenitely on the small side but I am anxious to tase it. Barry

    My big worry with them being smaller is the fat content. I want some fat for sausage and for flavor. Tamworths are lean to start with, we will see. Barry
