Hello fellow Arkansas chicken peeps! I have too many bantam Cochin roosters and need to sell two of them. I live near Bryant, Benton area. Need to go soon they are starting to get moody towards each other lol.
The first two compared to the 3rd seem so different yet have similarities. Is it normal for such a difference in maturity like this? They just don't seem to be getting the larger tail feather is what is throwing me. They do have smaller curved ones though.
I have the second one in the main...
Help I have five australorps separated that I thought were roosters. Three I know for sure are due to the crows. But two have not crowed and haven't developed as strongly as the other roosters...tail feathers etc. I don't want to get rid of a hen but I'm thinking they are just submissive...
Thanks. I have two small compost pile where I cleaned out my coop( pine shaving) and they just don't seem to be composting at all. I think I will transfer them to the run and let the ladies get to work! I worry they will kick a lot out of the run though. I'll have to think of some kind of sides...
I am wanting to compost in the run I have. I have a pile of wood chips I can pile in the run. My question is what do with the pine shavings I remove from the coop. I read somewhere to compost bedding seperate , has something to do with parasites?
Would it be safe to just pile the coop bedding...
I saw this bag of feed from a company called big v feeds for game birds. It looks like a mix of grains and pellet. If I were a chicken it would look good to me. Can you feed a laying hen game bird feed? Has anyone done this. Only difference I see is the high protein. :D
