Thanks everybody! Thanks for the info about the predators; I will sure look at that. We have learned a lot in the last few years. We do let them free range for a few hours a day in the afternoons, because they just love it so much, but we know that increases risks. We don't have a leash law...

I know! The curly thing fell off but there was a hole under it, so I gave it to my dog just to be safe! She laid a few eggs but has stopped. Hopefully she'll pick up in the spring... and have normal eggs!

Hello! Thanks for letting me join. I have had chickens for about four years now. My avatar is my rooster, Elvis, who lives up to his name as he is always singing and is a hunka hunka burnin love! :) Elvis was supposed to be a partridge Plymouth rock, but I'm quite sure he's not a purebred, lol...
