    Our chicks are doing great! We have had a few loses, mainly bantams I think they got squished under the bigger chicks (which is why I always ask for no bantams, but always get a few) plus I've read some breeds just aren't as hardy as chicks. Still have tons of babies doing great and the ducks...

    Thanks!! We built a play house for the kids, once the novelty wore off, they didn't really use it anymore, so family vote said we could turn it into a goat hut, then after the goats were no longer here, it was a play house again, and now a brooder!! We found a lot of the parts in empty lots...

    When you go to the pages where they list them, it shows a box that shows availability, but at the top of the breed pages, it says what months they hatch each kind... Maybe I misunderstood the page? Like, usually turkeys don't start hatching until March, etc

    You're so lucky!! I don't understand though...how can they send turkeys and geese when their site says they aren't even hatching them until next month, or later?? I wish I had gotten a few turkeys! :)

    Goats pregnant? First fresheners and also my first goats.

    Suzanne pooch looks bred, the other does not look bred to me. Also, the udder looks too small to be so close to kidding, no show of babies on the right side of her body either. Unless she is carrying a single up high? Do you have any other pics?

    By the pooch test, it looks to me, the top and bottom doe looks bred, the middle one..not so much. But the pic is not as clear, so. I can't say for sure. Pooch test is kinda hard to go by. Have you looked into the bounce test? There are some good videos on how to do it on YouTube.

    Nigerian Dwarf goat

    If you wanted, you can google 'pooch pictures'.... It's a method of detecting goat pregnancy, by looking at the position of the vulva. It seems pretty accurate for some people... I've not gotten the hang of it myself enough to be reliant on it, but I can sometimes tell.
