Cackle hatchery's Hatchery Surprise- Anybody got this before?

Pictures coming soon. I'm grab some this after noon. That goose is so darn funny. I hope everyone gets one l. The way my brooder is set up it's tall enough that the chicks won't just out. But this guy is always looking out of the box. Or poking his head through holes in wall lol. I go to change the under paper and he pops up and pulls my hair! Silly goose

Got our Suprise today! First count was 53 chicks! No ducks, I asked for none to be sent.
No dead on arrival chicks, but one is fading fast, a little silver bantam... :( a couple look kinda weak (mostly the little crested polish chicks), so we may lose a couple more...I've done all I can to give them a good start, so now it's up to them, I hope they all make it though!

Looks like we got quite a few white crested polish, at least one white Silkie, and I can't identify any others yet.

Looks like a good mix of lots of breeds, about 40% are bantams from what I can tell. I was pretty suprised to get so many birds! Timing was perfect too...I had 7 eggs incubating, and they are hatching out right now, so they will go into the brooder with the rest of the chicks.

All in all, I'm very happy with what we got. Sorry no pics yet, been too busy. Will try soon so I can get opinions on breeds.

Oh wow! Lol well I got what looks like 2 silkies and 4 other bantams. 30 ish other chicks looks like 12 or 14 breeds. 2 turkeys and a goose!

You're so lucky!! I don't understand though...how can they send turkeys and geese when their site says they aren't even hatching them until next month, or later?? I wish I had gotten a few turkeys! :)

When you go to the pages where they list them, it shows a box that shows availability, but at the top of the breed pages, it says what months they hatch each kind...
Maybe I misunderstood the page? Like, usually turkeys don't start hatching until March, etc

Trying to post a link..

Turkeys

hatches Turkeys Mar-July

This is a snippet off their turkey page I just went to.

the availability list that doesn't say they arn't shipping it means the orders are filled and they dont have anymore eggs to fill orders.... they have to hatch extra of course to account for bad eggs, any extras get put into these boxes.

I also imagine if a random turkey or goose egg showed up they wouldnt just let it go to waste, and sometimes birds just start laying

I dont know

i know that little yellow bar youre talking about on the birds pages
