I made a Styrofoam incubator from an instructional YouTube video... it has been trial and error thus far but tomorrow is hatching day for my lone fertile egg.... so far development has looked great when I candled the egg so fingers crossed it works out!

I was in with my flock today and some of my chickens perched on my shoulders and one of my white leghorns pecked my earring but I couldn't tell if she ate it or if it feel in the dirt. I'm really worried... has anyone else had this happen?

I was just wondering what part of AZ you're in? I couldn't find anyone locally that had silkies except for one woman that turned out to be a total scam artist; so I ended up ordering 6 white silkies from Meyers and 3 of them died during shipping. So my babies are about 5 weeks old right now and...
My Silkies are only a month old and someone crowed today... unsure of who the culprit is! I'm really shocked! Has anyone had a chick crow this early before?
