Welcome to Centaurheart Farm! Okay, so its not really a farm. We don't grow any mass crops. It's more like a small hobby farm that is devoted to our love of animals. We have four horses, a mini donkey, and a whole herd of cats. We also have two dogs, two lovebirds, and are just getting...

New Free Fantasy Storytelling RPG Site - Mizahar! Come play with us!

Well folks- Myself and a few other friends have been working hard to put together a fantasy rpg site that involves creating a character then doing a ton of writing through collaborative storytelling. We've tried to combine Wikimedia, PBP3, and a few other nifty tools and a whole lot of...

Have fun Iron... hehe I was thinking about how blissful you would be in all this heat too! The fan is a good idea. I might run an extension cord out and turn a fan on... even though that seems silly outside. I already moved the portable coup over to underneath the evergreens so they are in...

Ugh.. its supposed to be in the 90's today. I don't look forward to this today at work on all that cement. I've got panting chickens already, and its only eleven. I'm glad I let them all out to free range before it got too hot today. I think I'm going to break out the sprinkler (hop...

Is this blue or blue MOTTLED?

Man, I'd really love some chicks like that. i'd be thankful... really really thankful they hatched and I got healthy. Like other posters have said, you play the genetic odds game when you hatch out your own eggs. I'd be glad the breeder sent you healthy eggs... and honestly, if you want to...

Got my first complaint about fresh eggs

People are crazy. You can't change them... sadly enough. I love fresh eggs and would rather have them than anything else. The only thing that irritates me is when people sell fresh eggs and don't at least wipe them off... there's nothing grosser than chicken eggs with chicken poo on them ...

    How do you transport chickens?

Id only give them enough room to pack in a box snugly. A good shape is a box that say cases of paper come in.. one on the bottom, one tapped upside down on the top with holes. They'll be more comfortable packed in with standing room or sitting room only where they can't roll around.

Hey guys... sorry I've been somewhat absent. I have a house guest for two weeks in from Canada, and all my internet time is being taken up with that! I spent the weekend playing tour guide, traversing Ape Caves and exploring Volcanoes. We still don't have the coup done! *dies*...

There are bigfoot pictures in Pennsylvania by auto camera

*laughs* If you've ever watched gangly teenage bearcubs in the wild, you'd understand that is totally a bear. They twist, they turn, and they look strangely human in some poses. If you even skin one, it looks remarkably human as well. This isn't a picture of a bigfoot.

I think I am going to lose my head!!!!...Anyone have this problem?...

I had a draft horse that like a red-headed step child got lice every year like clockwork. What we found out (even though it didn't spread to anyone else) is that killing the big bugs didn't do much good, you had to kill the nits on the hair. I'm assuming its the same way with the chickens...

Bare butt for years, too late to grow feathers again?

I have a rooster I just love whom I affectionately call Naked Butt. He was the low man growing up. This is hauntingly familiar. Don't worry about her lack of feathers... if shes comfortable and content and no ones picking on her now, I'd not give it another thought. Lol don't tell...

Need help with gash in turkens neck!

Flush it with saline, clean any debris out of it, pack it with neosporin (or a generic) non-pain killer and then super glue it... hopefully your bird will be fine. Give her lots of extra treats, some quiet time, and vitamins in her water. Good luck!

It seems if your insulating a pre-made, it wouldn't be hard to roll out the pink stuff, then get OSB board and finish the inside with it.... just like you do a normal house. Roll and stable on the pink stuff, and then cover with the OSB. You'll need a circular saw or a table saw, but it...

Our coup, which is in the process of being built, is going to be insulated. However, I think its going to be insulated AFTER the chickies move in. Our RIRs are getting too big for the 'teenage brooder' and my EEs are outgrowing the indoor brooder so something has to give soon. I'm sitting...
