5 weeks is beyond any reasonable time. If I was puchasing them, I would expect to be charged boarding or forfiet after a week max from the time they were to be picked up.
I purchased eggs localy but dont know what the mix might be, it was before the breeds were seperated. If the breeds aren't correct for wing sexing will they look like male or female, or will they vary?

Hi, I'm a rookie at this also and just put my first two dozen eggs in my incubator two days ago. You say the first to hatch may have to stay in a day or two. I am wondering, is there a limit to how long to leave them in? Or should I leave them in until I'm sure the hatch is done?
