Ralphie my first birds came from Sunnyside hatchery in Beaver Dam because I work in town and could pick them up at the hatchery. I have a rabbit breeder friend who has used them for years and highly recommended them but she had similar issues with the batch she did the same time I fid mine last...
Hi all I have been lurking here for awhile and thought I'd chime in for a change. DK glad you had a great birthday but sorry to here about your garden. At least it is still early enough to replant most things. As for your strawberry murdering neighbor I suggest you contact his landlord. If b...
Mine are also from sunnydide hatchery and are about 7 weeks old. They currently range from 5-7 lbs and I intend to keep them another week or so with a goal of getting them all up to 7 lbs do I get 5+ pound birds dressed. Mine have had fermented feed since day one and have been getting a 17%...
I wouldn't worry about the sneezing you describe as long as there is no nasal discharge. It sounds to me like your guys are digging into the FF enthusiastically and getting it in their nostrils and then sneezing it out. Mine tend to do the same and have never had any respiratory problems from it:)
How much are you feeding? 8-9 gallons doesn't sound right. Do you mean pounds of feed. I have 22 7 week Olds that get 3 gallons of fermented feed or approximately 25-30 lbs of feed daily. What hatchery did you get them from? Mine are currently in the 5-7 lb range.
I'm confused I thought each person was only allowed to post once. Having a few people do multiple posts to run up the numbers doesn't seem like playing fair.
How wet are you feeding the FF? It doesn't need to be coveted by water only needs to be a poridge or oatmeal consistency. If you make your FF dryer they won't get there heads wet and you won't have this problem. Good luck:)
