Alright, this is probably going to sound like a stupid question but...How do you know what your birds placed? My pullet and cockerel had a 1 on their cards (or maybe it was just a line?), but I didn't know what that or all those abbreviations meant. There was BB, BV and more???
Do I have to take my ckickens in special boxes or cages? Or can I just take them in any old cardboard box? I thought I read something about "show boxes".

Me too, I've never been to show let alone shown my own chickens! I really want to see all the different breeds too. I hope I can control myself and I don't end up taking home too many "souveniers".
I would really like to buy a light colored brahma hen and a big, fluffy, white silkie hen if anyone has them to sell. I have 6 week old bantam frizzle cochin chicks but I'm not ready to sell any yet, maybe the next show.
I live in the Bel Air area. Do you know where I can get my birds tested for Pullorum-Typhoid and Avian Influenza so I can take them to the show?
Thanks
I just got my first brahma hen 2 days ago. She's so beautiful and nice, I've already fallen in love with her. I don't know how old she is but she's really big and I'm guessing full grown. So it's been 2 days and we've been waiting for her to lay an egg and so far...nothing. How often do...
