I am starting to get a bit worried about this egg. It pipped about 6 hours ago and made a nice little hole, as you can see in the photo. I can see it moving and its beak sticks out through the hole now and again, but it doesn't seem to be making any progress? i have read on another topic about...

My first Chick - arrived today at 2.00pm. of course i was at work so missed it, but the wife caught on the hatch on camera. As of writing have another hatched and another 5 pips. Fingers and toes crossed that the others are just as healthy.
My white leghorn roo never stops crowing especially when i am in the garden. He crows from sun up to sun set. i think he thinks i am competition for his hens. Sometimes i want to stick him in the pot. I am surprised the neighbours haven't complained yet.
i agree. was she with a rooster? i have only 4 hens with a rooster and they all have bare backs. I now keep the rooster in a separate run to give the girls a break and allow the feathers to grow back. i will only let them run together when i want fertile eggs.
