Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out which of the below foods (available at my local feed store) is the best for laying hens. I have two hens, they are pets and are both laying. One of my girls is a cross beak, so we have to go with crumbles, not pellets. If anyone has tried these crumble...
I'm hoping our crossbeak baby is old enough to tell a little more about now....she is almost 15 weeks. As far as breed, she came from Tractor Supply and I'm pretty sure she was in the Buff Orpington box (the associate grabbed her for me and I didn't double check the label on the box) but she...
Our crossbeak baby is growing so fast (and she's still doing great)! She is probably around 4 - 4.5 weeks now and has a lot of her feathers in. The full body photo was taken a few days before the others so she didn't have quite as many then. Any better idea on sex or breed?
She does. She is also missing an eye. We saw her at tractor supply and decided to give her a chance. She's doing just fine so far...hoping for the best.

I'll start by saying that last Tuesday one of our dogs escaped his kennel and
went after her. I don't believe he was trying to hurt her, i'm sure...
Hi there! I sent an email to the address posted, but did not receive a reply. Do you have any connections to a battery farm or know the best way to rescue a battery hen in NC or VA?
What are the dimensions of your coop and how many chickens do you have? We are currently building our first coop and yours looks to have similar dimensions. We only have one hen right now, but I'm curious as to how many we will be able to fit comfortably.
