Yup. I candled them last night and the night before and I was hoping the bottom right egg (we'll call it egg 3) had a hope, I saw a head in it. I'm not going to give these eggs beyond tonight, we're literally only crafting stink bombs at this point, the whole household is smelling them.
EDIT...
Hey, sorry, I had to take the live feed down. Got in trouble at school and got grounded for a month, no electronics. but I promise I'll get it back up when my sentence is done! I'll be posting daily on the progress of the chickens, in a journal of sorts. Our eggs had a 0 outcome so we ordered...
I candled them. One has an air sac but it's still yellow, probably fetal demise, just like every other one of them, my mom said she even smelt them (I don't). But, here's my question. I candled the bottom right one with a white flashlight and it was white! My stepfather said he saw a head! Could...
Just getting home it turns out to be just a shadow.... and that little slit wasnt really there... cmon little guys, come out here! we have free cookies..
ALERT!!! Possible pip!
I need confirmation on this, if you look at the bottom half of the skinny tip in the egg on the back right, does looks like a pip? I asked the agriculture teacher and he said it's not cracked... !!! and then I may be mistaking the S's that the layers wrote on it to...
I had an extra small cheap tablet my parents got me for Christmas and i downloaded an app called ip web cam, then did a little router work and port forwarded the internal ip broadcast address under TCP/UDP protocol, then once that was done I cut a slit the width of the tablet into a small box...
Well keep it open! I got excited, and I have school tomorrow so I don't know if I'll have time to check on the eggs. Increase the quality in the webcam next time.
Same, nice brooder! we just found our backup chick source so i hope float testing them didnt distrupt them... im still a little skeptical, only a few of my eggs candled positive the day before lockdown, but now being 24 hours overdue and we water test them and all of them are viable? life finds...
well thats a mighty flock then... do you have a coop ready? how much did it cost you? my coop (seen here https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/963766/hello-byc-community#post_15011506) i built for woodworking and it costed the fam $200! for two silkies!
I wish i could know when these chicks are...
lol, the water that they were just in raised the humidity up just fine. I'm not touching them for a week, theyre going back into lockdown. if by that week they havent hatched, does it mean the project has been a bust, or is there a possibility of chicken eggs having a day 28?
Wow, me freakin' too lol. We're day 22 right now so not doing so hot, but as far as out water test has shown us, all our eggs are viable so I hope they hatch within the next week or else this project has been a bust. I'm sure if you keep to the instructions you have been following, they should...
I know, just past experiences with things i have been excited about always got cancelled so i guess i have a phobia that these wont hatch. but if these dont come out in a week we'll be ordering chicks. it'd be so cool if these are successful though
Hey there. I'm not sure if most of you know my case (check out my past threads) but i have 8 silkies eggs. 7 are viable after completing a float test 1 hour ago, being 24 hours officially overdue. I'm extremely curious to see whats going on inside these eggs, but im afraid the float test was...
about 27 minutes ago is officially overdue, and we did the water test. 7 out of our 8 eggs are viable!!! and i think we had a few rock! its kind of exciting. but we forgot to dry them off, so i hope its not too humid in there . keep your eyes on that webcam! we're giving them till next...
Thanks for the wishes of luck, I know I'll sure need the luck for this... Guess we didn't know it was going to be so much maintenance than it first seemed like. And good luck to yours! :D everybody keep posted to this thread, I'll post updates usually in the middle of the day, before I go to...
Were giving it a 26 and maybe even a 28. It's hard adjusting the humidity, I added plenty of moisture to the little paper towel last night and it was stil under 60 (we're using a small circular moisture needle sensor that came with the incubator, I wish we got a better one), just added moisture...
ok day 20 officially passed and no movement, starting to loose hope but maybe im being too impatient, tomorrows hatching anyway. but seriously, if you feel like watching these for hatching day tomorrow, click here http://66.103.168.89:8080/ and select under "video renders" and try one till it...
