    I'm still a newbie at this so you're reaching the end of my knowledge on the subject. If no one gives you any better suggestions, I would try electrolytes on the theory that there is a chemical imbalance that is having an neurological effect. (The electrolytes can't hurt...)

    I've been using some leftover artificial turf (just the turf - no infill). No mess. It's very easy to clean (just hose down) and the girls really seem to like it.
